Today I met a running girl. So I was walking in one direction and she was approaching from the right quickly. I stopped her by touching her on her shoulder, she stopped for a moment, I opened, she smiled, said "that is very...very nice of you" and continued walking in her direction. I followed her. I asked her, why she was running and she told me about some female friend of hers who needed her emotional support now. She was not dismissive or unfriendly verbally, she also looked into my eyes from time to time while I negged her, she started to invest by asking me questions but then she hurried up the train station(and probably to a train she had to catch).

How would you handle this, ie girls who partly invest but keep on walking? Do you run with her, do you slow down and let her walk?

I used to slow down but they just walked faster to eventually run away. This was the first time I actually ran with her. Keep in mind that this is not a "how to get away from this person who makes me feel uncomfortable"-run but a "I enjoy this but I also have this obligation in mind"-run.
