Hey guys I'm f'ing wasted at the moment but tonight was my first offical night of sarging and I must say it was a resounding victory, 3 3-sets, 2 5-sets, 1 7-set. A buddy of mine was in awe of how interested the sets were.

I'm only including 1 set because I don't know what info I'm supposed to include.

Background: It was my buddies wife's birthday, if that makes sense, so about 10 of us went down to the Rio on 15th and Blake to celebrate. One of the people there was a girl I had one-itis about for a while.
Well enough of that crap heres what happened.


First Set
2 HB's ( 7,8 )
1 AMOG
2 AFC's

I actually opened this set in the middle of our dinner, one-itis girl was being a total bitch and I got fed up with it. I excused myself from the table and walked up to the first set I saw. As with all the sets on this night I opened I used the "ex-girlfriend" opener. Opener worked fairly well. I talk with my hands and not sure if it came off as a nervous tick.
Turned to "leave" and segwayed with "oh I just learned this cool trick, can I try it on you?" then ran 'cube'. HB7 getting twitchy, I think I was ignoring her too much. AMOG started to throw his weight around and basically told me to fuckoff. I stayed in long enough so that he started qualifying himself and then ejected counting my first approach ever as a sucess.

hey, great that you're getting out there. every time we do it's a success whether we close or not, it's all learning, and knowledge is power. if i may, i'll throw out a suggestion to you. you say there were 3 guys there with the 2 girls. ballsy on a first set ever, as the figures were against you already. my suggestion is to go up and talk to the guys first. introduce yourself to them, shake hands, offer them gum or something. pay attention to the handshakes, it can say a lot about the kind of guys they are. then after intros all around, ignore the girls a bit and befriend the guys. tell em a funny story, do a magic trick. but give the guys your attention first. the girls WILL start trying to get your attention once the guys like you. you can game them once they want your attention and this will solve several things for you, one: the AMOGs will not be an obstacle if they like you. in fact they'll sometimes help you. 2: being friends with everybody shows social value. this is a huge attraction point to girls. and 3: even if you find out that the 2 girls are engaged to the guys there, if you have a group of 5 people laughing it up, the rest of the room will notice and this makes approaching other sets easier too. you can pivot off your new friends for more social value demonstrations later if you want.
