if all goes well, how long after the opener should i be seeing the social hook point....Or how long dose it typically take to get there?

Depends on your style of game, your personal level of ability, the girl, the situation you are in, etc. Its not something that you will see at 4m28s into a sarge. It can happen anywhere from before you even say a word, until several times after meeting the girl. A typical club/bar sarge though, you're looking to "hook" the group within the first minute, if not sooner, because otherwise they aren't going to waste the time listening to what you have to say.
