So I'm chatting to this HB8 who thinks she's a bit overweight, even though she looks fine to me. I try to make her more comfortable by saying "Hey, my last gf was a fat chick, and so was my first love... weight doesn't bother me".

Initially I thought I was making her feel good and also demonstrating pre-selection by saying I've had gfs before. But now I'm thinking damn, I just DLVed by essentially saying that my exes weren't hot and I dated fat chicks. She's gonna think "this guy is only good enough to date fat chicks, so he isn't good enough for me".

What do you think? DHV or DLV?

I'd sway to the DLV really, because it seems as if your calling her fat with the "don't worry bit" and how your ex and first love was fat" lol. Made me laugh, but DLV!

. . . Train wreck.

'My last gf was a fat chick?? [just like you]'

Simply, just ignore her comment. . . Why engage in an overly negative conversation. . . Cut the thread and switch the conversation to something more positive. . . Which focuses on you and increasing her buying temperature.

Or if you must, go with an over-exaggeration.

Fat. . . You. . . geeze, have you seen me at the minute. . . I think I might actually be with child!'

Personally, I'd go with option 1.

I did tell her she wasn't fat, I was just trying to convey that I'm not shallow because I don't care if chicks are fat. Think I might have DLVed by essentially saying I date low value females though.

It gets worse, though! I mentioned her long hair, and she said "omg I hate when a loose hair falls down the back of my shirt and tickles me", and I said that my fat ex had a huge boil on her back where a loose hair had got stuck in her flab and festered. She seemed grossed out and I changed the subject, but I think I did a HUGE DLV - now she thinks I date gross fat chicks who don't get washed properly!

LMAO, once you mention an ex and something bad, try to switch subject after, keep it casual man, because as you have seen, you can put yourself in a hole.

Oh man, I am such an idiot - I've talked to her since, but she keeps jokingly mentioning that I like fat chicks and she's probably too slim for my taste. I don't prefer fat chicks, they were just easier to hit on when I had no game!

LOL. That is so funny. How the hell can you say something like that ? HAHAHA  It is not only the fact that you say that she is fat. You immediately show your interest. Basically you said that she is fat but you still want to date her. She must get the feeling that she earned a date with you, not that you earned a date with her. People want what they can't have or what they get with difficulty. If something comes too easy, they don't want it. I know a guy that is known to hit on ugly girls only because they are easy. I can tell you that all girls that know this guy consider it as a disgrace to get hit on by him. If there is 1 guy in the world they would never want to date, it is him. So don't even bother anymore with this girl, you screwed this one over, big time. Instead, go out with her to parties and use her as a pawn in order to attract other females that are better than her. If she sees this, she might get a different view of you and feel attraction for you.

I do agree that it is difficult to say something to a girl when she is complaining that she is overweight. If you make a cocky funny statement you can insult her. Probably she comes up with this subject because she wants you to make her feel better. She wants you to say: "But no, you are not fat. You are just perfect like this.". Therefore, the best thing you can do is frame control and just ignore that comment. Just switch the topic.
