I really think that the nightclubs in the US play the music alot quieter than over here in the UK.. cos im reading material about PUA's saying never lean in when talking blah blah, after last night i realised theres no other way for them to hear you, you literally have to shout down the targets ear hole for them to hear you, which involves leaning in! I have now also got laryngitis and completely lost my voice

What do i do? Anyone got any advice? im sick of shouting my ass off !

I don't even to talk to women in clubs around here in holland, because they won't hear me anyway, I learned how to dance before even hearing about the pickup arts, so I go pick up girls on the dancefloor.
My advice is to just take a few dance lessons, look sharp and they will actually come to you on the dancefloor, and dance around you. They will do stuff like ''accidently'' bump into you or dance in front of you just a few feet away. This is where you move in with the dance pickup thing, just dance with them and it might lead to you 2 going outside where you can actually understand eachother whithout having to shout in eachothers ears.

as a side note, put a little ( very little) bit of perfume on the back of your ears. works wonders even if you cant hear what they say. heard it somewhere on this forum and it really works.

well it depends where you go, in New York it probably the same hting as in the UK

you cant talk without yelling, and thats no guarantee they will hear you, but they have outside areas to go and talk, but yeah, yu pretty much have to know how to dance, be really really good looking so you can just signal them to meet you outside, or have a powerful voice

If I know I am going to a place where its going to be loud I take a white dry ease board and a marker and when I see a cute girl I just write on the board something like Hey what s up and then she normally ask why are u writing on a board and I am write back because its to loud lets step over here so we can talk more sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

OMG thats really good, I'm gonna just get a one of those white board things people hang in the kitchen and a marker and just go pick up girls with that It will certainly let you stand out right away.

Or maybe you could just type something on your mobile, and just hand it to them or just hold it up to them.

wes, props, great idea. How do you carry the white board around? is it big enough for pants pocket? I seriously am sick of screaming into a girl's ear at clubs or concerts.

Its all about where you go. Clubs seem to be pretty similar around the world from what I've heard from people, but pick up doesn't work that great in loud places, so you hang out in places that aren't big clubs, but more like lounges and bars and pubs. Outside also works well and most of the people outside usually smoke and just because I love this line from Family Guy, I will advise you not to forget, "If she smokes, she pokes!" hehehe.

I'm gonna field test a routine similar to the whiteboard one, but using pen and paper and just handing her notes and prettending to be mute until I get her someplace quiet and then when she is surprised when I say something I'll just be like "Wait...you thought I couldn't SPEAK?! Trying to take advantage of the dissadvantaged, eh?" or soemthing like that. We'll see how it works.

I think for the most part you're right about the whole club scene. I just came back from a club last night and I was thinking about PU and how to effectively pull off gambits and other canned material. I had no idea how. A club is a whole other field with a lot of things working against you. I like the ideas some of you came up with. Can anyone come up with anything else that hasn't been said?

Don't forget to display alpha male characteristics especially in the club. Since you can't be as verbal as a lot of other venues, body language and positioning are some of the few things sets have to go off as far as their impressions of you.
