Recently, I messaged a "friend" of mine via facebook/myspace. By, "friend", I mean she's a mutual friend of mine between myself and my friends who I hang with. We've talked.. maybe 3 times, she's never really around when I'm around. I had a fling with a good (I don't know if they're still THAT close) friend of hers which kinda blew up in my face when she found out I was having a fling with someone else. Still following me? Hahaha

When that blew up in my face, a lot of the girl friends that hang with my group of chums have this secret hatred for me. They never express it, but I know they talk behind my back and are still upset. Big deal.

Anyway, I messaged my mutual friend asking how her summer has been, and it seems to be hitting off pretty well. Lengthily messages, her asking a ton of questions about me and the band I play in, and ending with "it's really good to hear from you ". Obviously, I'm in the right direction.

Anyway, should I still keep up with this? I want to, not quite sure what I want out of it... a relationship would be very nice, casual sex would be even better. But I feel like she might mention me to the group of girls that HATE me, and yet again, this could blow up on me. Thoughts?

Hmmm man, I would say you should try and meet up in person asoon as possible, that way she can make up an opinion of you by herself before she is given a negative one from these 'friends' of yours. But I'd be ready with a defence story about the whole previous fling issue that makes it more or less acceptable about what happened.

and you sealed whatever deal you want out of her. her friends can badmouth you. but if they see that she really likes you. and maybe u can get them to change their minds by treating her right.

like there is a girl in a sorority that hates me since high school. and sadly we were the only 2 people from my class to go to my college. so her sorority sisters are so hott. and everytime i meet one and talk to them. and then they ask my name. after i tell them, they say...ohhh i heard about you. and then im done for. so i think my plan will be to just apologize to the girl who hates me and try to befriend her and what not. i think thats my only solution. so maybe u can do the same to those other girls.

Yea, it seems like I've built enough comfort. I gonna mention that we should take this conversation online, to in person, perhaps lunch or something of the sort and build from there.
