Okay so basically I'm fat and I have recently started to work out, and I was wondering should I still sarge as a fat ass or wait till i lose some pounds?
Also any tips diet wise would be helpful I have started swimming regularly.
Here's the only thing I have to say . . . Do you know HOW popular Joe D from VH1's The Pick Up Artist?!!! He's a big guy and he's comfortable enough with his weight to go sarge. It's not about your size. It's about your confidence! So GO HAVE FUN!!! :D

~Cali
Ya, but he never got any play, or even close to it. Even the masters told him, he had a problem with his attraction phase. Looks don't matter much, but being healthy does. From an evolution stand point, being big like that isn't the most healthiest mate to pick from. Not a key point in evolution

To be honest, you can cut your sodas, eat carrots, whatever the fuck they say, but that wont make you lose weight.

See to lose weight you gotta either cut that shit for good and NEVER eat that again, or do what i do. I fucking drink 8 dr peppers a day, eat mcdonalds, taco bell and shit and im 130 at 16. Yes i know i have a fast matabloism, but you gotta remember if you change your diet then lose your shit and go back to it you will only gain it back.

Thats why on the biggest loser they are always fat in the few months later.

If you eat fuckin Carls Jr. Continue to eat it, exercise and drink water. I say drink water becuase when your fat cells are empty the body stores water there, but the more you drink the less you need to store and in the end you'll get better skin complextion and lose weight.

Dont fucking cut all your food for a week or two then go back. Change the way your eat not, what you eat .

Yea, still sarge. You should have a good self-image to be successful, fat or not, but yea, definitely exercise too for your health.

In addition to the good advice on here about more frequent and smaller meals, I've got a couple little points:

1. Avoid restaurants. They don't offer balanced meals or proper portion sizes. They're protein and carb heavy, and huuuuuuuuge plates.

2. Don't shop hungry. You'll buy shit food because you're craving a fast fix. If you buy good food - esp fruits and vegetables for snacks, then you'll snack better if/when you do snack.

3. If you're still hungry after a meal, reach for another helping of veggies, rather than another pork chop or potato. Fibre in, fibre out.

4. Cardio is a must. The average person only needs 30 minutes of walking a day to keep their metabolism going. Try going for an after dinner walk around the neighbourhood. It will help you digest, and burn calories.

3. Don't eat at night. Eat dinner in the evening, and if you MUST SNACK AT NIGHT, eat fruit, preferably an apple. High in fiber.

Do those 3, and you'll noticeably lose weight every week. Throw in cardio and lifting, and it speeds up the process even more. A friend of mine did only number 3, and he lost over 100 lbs in about a year.
number 3 isnt entirely accurate...2/3 of your energy expended is through BMR (metabolism), which is unaffected by sleep. the reason the old wives tale of dont eat at night came about is because most of the food people eat at night is garbage!

eating at night is fine, especially because it will keep your BMR up, as opposed to going 12 hours without food, in which case your BMR will plummet and you are doing no good.

in short: eat better, smaller, consistent meals that are low in fat!
I think it also came from people eating at night and your body digests slower when you sleep if you eat then go to sleep you gain weight

I know how difficult it is stay on a workout plan, Im a fairly skinny guy. I am utterly terrible at being healthy. Right now Im drinking anywhere from 2-4 Litres of soda lately. I really need to cut it out, Its killing me but Caffeine headaches suck pretty bad and Ive never really had the willpower to cut it out. I also had a fairly decent workout plan but just got lazy and dropped it. Im trying to get back into it before I go back to school in a month.

Don't ever let your body keep you from sarging, It carrys no weight in the situation, you will just have to work your game so much harder to get the same results.

i used to weigh 80kgs a year and a half ago with around 21% body fat.. im now down to a VERY lean 74kg with 9% body fat. these are the rules i've been following:

1) do heavy weight training 3 times a week. keep lifting until you want to die. its been proven that lifting weights burns a lot more fat and calories than cardio.

2) do about 30 mins of cardio every day that you dont gym. this keeps your heart healthy, your metabolism super high and also has the added affect of accomplishment (wow... i just ran xKM in y Minutes... thats not bad... I ROCK!) (i love running, you may prefer cycling or swimming etc)

3) eat 5-6 small meals a day. plan your meals. if you get up at 6am and go to bed at 10pm, make sure that you dont take in a lot of carbs after 3-4pm. if you're gymming, take a protein shake before bed (it'll help your muscles grow and recover quicker)

4) fruit and veggies. i have an apple with breakfast, an apple with my 10 o'clock snack (protein shake and low fat yoghurt), a serving of steamed mixed veg with lunch (around 150g) and again with supper (also around 150g)

5) eat breakfast. a healthy breakfast with lots of fibre and protein. your body has been starved for 8 hours (if you sleep 8 hours a night like you should...) i mix some pro-nutro with high fibre bran for my cereal (don't know if you have those where you stay) basically, its a mixture of high GI and low GI with a high fibre content. perfect breakfast combo.

6) cut out fizzy drinks. i ate healthy crap and cut out fizzy drinks. i didnt even have coke with my brandy, instead i switched to whiskey and water and eventually to neat whiskey (chivas reagal FTW!). i've always gotten hammered 3 nights a week... in fact, i cant think of a week this year where i've not been drunk at least 3 times. the only change i made is in what i decided to drink. dont drink beer. dont drink anything that's mixed with a carbonated drink (except for gin and tonic...) have whiskey and water. have vodka on ice. lighter spirits tend to be less fattening, dont take that as a rule though. make sure to drink at least 1.5L of water a day... if you dont feel like changing your alcohol or anything, just make sure you drink at least 1.5L of water. i cannot stress that point enough. your liver needs that water!

7) take a multivitamin every morning. yes, i know, a lot of people say its just and ingredient for expensive urine. thats BS. a good multivitamin has minerals and vitamins in it that you wouldn't normally get in a normal diet, which is why it is crucial to take them. another point to consider is that you may not be getting the recommended amount of minerals and vitamins in your body each day. although the excess can easily be gotten rid of (expensive urine), a lack thereof would put your health at risk. take a multivitamin. especially if you gym and lift a lot of weights.

8) tan. yes, i know, this is kind of contradicting because in time you'll be leathery etc. the fact is that a person is less insercure when he i tanned than when he is pasty. if you feel that lying around and tanning is gay, start swimming. i've always been exceptionally pasty and decided to start tanning after my ex left me. i've never looked/felt better. no jokes. remember sunscreen though... peeling is gross and skin cancer is kinda deadly, so lets try to avoid it!

thats my advice. i used to be extremely insecure but every day i get more and more confident. im in better shape than i could've ever imagined and that gives me even more of a confidence boost.

everyone can have a killer body, it just takes more work for those who were placed on the backseat by our genes. fuck our genes. i didnt allow my genes to make me feel insecure anymore and neither should anyone else. insecurity is for those who are either too lazy/scared to try make a change or for the exceptionally ignorant. pickup isnt just about learning how to get ass, its also about improving your social skills... and confidence plays a big part in that.

make the change. it'll be hard and tedious but you'll thank yourself with every day that goes by.

As proven by this thread, if you ask 100 different people about weight loss, you're going to get 100 different answers.

Just go to a gym and get yourself a trainer. Just do as he/she says.

To the guy who does chest and arms only, you should consider the above advice as well.

To the guys who think "FAT" doesn't matter, you're crazy. EVERYTHING matters. If your hair is a mess, you'd brush a comb through it before you left the house wouldn't you? Can you sarge successfully with messy hair? Sure, but why not do everything you can to improve yourself? Think of losing weight as "longer term" grooming AND it's good for you.

Bro, just go out and game as normal the way you are right now. Do not devalue yourself and just do it. When you lose weight, it will be so so easy to open and work with sets since you were already doing it when you were overweight. Trust me, its all in the mind. Confidence will pull you through.

Ye dude you shouldnt call yourself a "fat ass", sounds like you need work on your inner game.

Dont let anyone put you down, or yourself for that matter!
I tell people straight up if they ask, that I straighten my hair (even to my target) because I dont giva fuck, and every time I have said it...she has admired my honesty and confidence.

So remember, if you start caring what your mates say about your looks or whatever, its only going to translate into poor results in the field!
