been reading through the forums and only thing that confused me was the "negs" why are they used and whens best to do it? i didnt see a post on them so i apologize if ive missed it.

negs are used for bring your target's social value down while raising your value. use negs selectivly, they are only for women with egos and hb8 and up. Don't overuse negs like alot of the afc's tend to do. Also they are teases and should come off as playful, or they may come off as insults.

A negative remark towards a girl designed to break her indifference to you by showing her that you are indifferent to her beauty (or other striking features). Not an insult, that would be bad. More like "Those are interesting nails - are they real?" or "It's really cute how your nose wiggles when you talk - look, there it goes again! <chuckle>". No more than 2 negs on an average HB (7-9/7-9), a maximum of 3 on a super HB (10/10). Negs are pretty much a necessity for 10s or strippers (whether they're 10s or not - simply because they are in an environment which is conducive to them thinking they are 10s).

A neg is a backhanded complement or playful insult which completes several tasks. It lowers the target's self perceived value, it creates comfort and laughter within the group, it falsely disqualifies you from trying to pick her up, and it makes you appear to have higher social status.

The ideology behind it, is that you are acting as though you are the alpha male. You are the man with such high status, that you are not trying to seduce her. By treating her like an annoying little sister, you are doing exactly the opposite of what every lovable loser out there is doing: you are conveying dominance. The more you show active disinterest, the more she will wonder why you aren't hitting on her. The more you push her away, the more she will want to come back.

The hotter the girl, the more you tease her. Politeness to strangers is not human nature. A girl hasn't earned the right for you to be polite to her until she has satisfactorily conveyed that she is of value to you.

Edit: We aren't robots here. Don't flippin' count how many negs you are throwing. Negs should just be a part of your normal conversation with women. You should be able to calibrate when it is going too far and when she's had enough. There is no maximum number of negs, or minimum. You stop when you elicit values and SOI's from the target. That can be 20 negs, or it can be done without saying a word.
