There is this girl that I caught looking at me a lot, but everytime when I try to talk to her she would give me a cold response and ignore me(look away or something similar). Well there is this other really cool guy, but when he talks with her she would like join the conversation and smile. But when I talk to her she would be like sorta cold, but then y does she look at me so much? Any explanations? My friends think she is just shy, but then y can she get along with the other guy?

i'm just taking a shot in the dark with this one because i'm fairly new to this myself. it sounds like she wants you but this other guy is obviously displaying more value. you need to find a way to tool this guy. point out something about her that he hasn't noticed.

maybe there something on your face that you cant see? lol just messing. Maybe she intimadated by you. For one when you talk to her she doesnt tell you to leave her alone and the cold responds is her way to hide it. Try being cocky-funny with her next time she stares at you say "take a picture it might last longer but i might have to charge you" . when you try and talk to her what do you say to her?

I just ask her some random questions like, do you know blah blah, or like try to get her engaged into the conversation.

More than likely she likes you but she gets too shy around you. Oh God i hate shy girls, mainly because i feel like am the one who has to carry the conversation and i suck at that, (even though i tend to talk to shy girls a lot more often than confident ones because i get intimidated by the more confident HBs)

My advice, build on her, it'll take time because its not just you getting comfortable with her, but getting her to feel comfortable with you. best way is to keep it fun, chat and joke around. I remember a shy girl who couldn't look at me directly in the eye for more than 5 seconds, i talked to her and she admitted she didn't feel comfortable doing that, not just with me but with anyone. So as a "game" i kinda forced her to look at me, laughed when she turned away and SHE began celebrating when she kept eye contact for long periods of time. Apply this to her, find something to do or say that'll make her more comfortable with you.

Random questions..not such a good idea as the lack of direction usually leads to more randomness..

Try not to ask too many questions as it may come off as an interview or something...not very appealing..

Also what are you trying to accomplish by talking to this girl? friendship? maybe something more?

Answering these questions will help you give your conversation more a focus as oppose to being random.

Also posted before building comfort and demonstrating value is important in this case. Which is why the 'other guy' gets a better reaction than you do.
