Quick pointers to help you guys avoid the major traps in PU.

1. Gaining PUA status, and losing your grasp of a life.

This annoys me everytime I get in a conversation with someone in PUA chat, and when asked to describe themselves, they immediatly talk in PU terms.

"I have been here for 2 weeks, blah blah *insert reason for joining*"

And you can just tell these guys are going to go down a slippery slope at one point.

I learnt about this pitfall through experiecne let me tell you this PU and it's rewards are much sweeter when you have other interests and things going on to let your PU skills compliment.

2. Idol worshipping PUG's or refusing to challenge what they say. Again fallen for this one, you'd be surprised how often the unpublished PUA's like me or madals/daziel or whoever, can poke holes in specefic parts of well established theories like MM or attracion code.

And yes you are still Idol worshipping if you have changed your Idol from Mystery to Dicarlo. As long as you refuse to question what they say, and think for yourself, you can only blind yourself.

3. Thinking girls will hate you for being a PUA, in all honesty in a list of 10 things that enter a 1 hour converstion with me, my love of helping men get better with women (or PU) is one roughly number 5-6.

In all honesty it is a DHV. I'm a known local seducer, and does anyone care? NO.

Infact I get calls and texts from girls I have never met, simply becuase they have heard of me.

Just be honest, if it comes up it comes up, but do not try and define yourself as a PUA. Just don't be afraid to talk about what you enjoy doing in your spare time.

4. Try to have fun, don't set targets or goals, just go out their and flirt with women. You'll enjoy yourself alot more if you don't have targets and objectives. And as a result than fun energy will mean a better responce rate from women and men (AMOG's) you approach. Things will run a lot smoother if you just relax/or get excited about what your doing and who you are with.

I dont want to fall into your trap, but... I've only been here a couple of weeks (lol) and my observation as a newbie is this:

There are some people who seem to be just here for the knowledge, collecting clever routines and bits to say and get very zealous about their belief system.

I guess because its easier to stay home and learn something else than go out and get shot down in flames.

I'm new to this but im not new to life so if I could be so rude as to tag a tiny bit of my own advice on to this thread.

It's a million times better to go out and use an average opener and some 'ok' stories from your life than staying home trying to learn the 'perfect' routine that will blow the girls panties off.

Go out, make mistakes and learn, its the only way to get there.

(sorry for the slight hijack but thats just the observations of a newbie to this scene)
