New to the forum and need your opinions on something. (that sounds like im just about to start hitting on you hah)

Anyways when I make eye contact with someone in a club I have no problem holding the eye contact.

My question is when I make and hold eye contact with a girl should I smile?

I assume this would be a DLV and would show her im interested in her.

On the other hand in the past I've made eye contact with girls and smiled at them and later they were all over me...

Making eye contact and just staring them out feels cold although I fully accept it would do more for my social status than smiling.

What be the consensus?

Yes smile. Smiling shows you ARE an alpha male and it is a DHV. Don't break eye contact first, but also don't turn your body to completely face hers if it isn't already (this DOES show too much interest). I've had spontaneous make outs with HBs without saying a word, just by keeping eye contact, keeping body in a relaxed state, and smiling.

Keep the smile. It subcoms confidence around women and a positive attitude. Not really a DLV.

Yeah smile and make her smile back, then go up to her!

What I normally do is smile at them and they smile back and then I later engineer it so I'll walk past them/her and stop and speak to her.

Was just wondering because smiling at them seems to conflict with the idea of not showing interest.

It's ok to show interest if they show it too. And if they are keeping eye contact then they are interested. Also it shows confidence and alpha male qualities in the man.

I am going to go ahead with smile. I was reading about that in art of approaching.

I think the smile back, or if you are close enough, her saying hi is a clear sign she is willing to be appraoched, at least that is what I was thought

When you make eye contact with a girl sure crack a smile. If you stare her down she gets uncomfortable and thinks your a creep. So whats the worst thing that can happen? she won return the smile and then she turns away. so then you go talk to another girl. Her loss.

When you make eye contact with a guy you dont have to smile. When I'm at school I dont. Ill stare them down. Alpha I guess? Idk buts always just been how I do things

first off your at a club...they already know your hitting on them or they assume it anyways so not smiling to hide yoru interest is unproductive cause
then your holding eye contact with this big not expressional face and it makes it look like either your pissed, anger, bored, no emotion at all or whatever else,

so like what everyone else said, yeah smiile when you hold eye contact people have to see your friendly and approachable
