I am sort of new to the community. I had a question about visual cues a woman gives while she sitting down. What do legs crossed, open, etc mean? How can I tell if she is interested?

You cant really tell for sure until you have made contact. After contact, if her legs are towards you it is a good thing and away from you, a bad thing. Crossed legs are a sign of protection and open legs are a sign of trust. But personal comfort sometimes override these things so it is better if you look for the normal IOIs...

I've studied a lot of body language in my years. I was in car sales for years before this so I read a lot of interesting things there. There is a lot of information going around that says when arms or legs are crossed people are closed off from you, and when they are open they are not, etc. This has been expounded upon but there is no real evidence to support it either way.

Truth is it could mean that if her legs are crossed she's not as receptive to you. It could also just mean that she's crossed her legs all her life and she's comfortable sitting that way.

I wouldn't put too much into this. I would instead focus on looking for other Indicators of Interest and if a girl reinitiates conversation with me, touches me, laughs at my jokes, etc.

Seriously though, that's utter non-sense. Suppose she crosses her legs the other way, so her left foot is on the ground, in case it'll most likely be pointed straight ahead, to wherever her attention is directed. There's a bagillion other scenarios that I almost went into, then I realised I have to go to sleep and it's really just a waste of time to debate something to silly.
