It's Saturday, and I haven't done anything today, because I have no friends to call or go out with. Should I start gaming tonight?

As dieselfuel said, openers don't have to be any kind of amazing canned material. Today this guy come up to me and my friend and he was asking where the Ukrainian festival is (which you'd have to be stupid to not be able to find because it was pretty much visible if you came out of the subway station) and then he ended up talking to my friend in Ukrainian about some religious bullshit, selling us some enlightenment. The guy seemed really sincere, but I just don't look well on delusional people. (pls don't reply to this. It's way off topic) We let him talk because we didn't wanna argue. (and because I didn't know Ukrainian)

The moral of the story is that some random dude came up to us with a simple opener and he still manged to talk to us for a long time.
