I just went out to a bar to pick up pizza for lunch 5 for the whole office. I was greeted by a hb8 told her what I ordered and gave her my credit card.

When she came back with my pizza and my credit card I lightly grabbed her arm and said with a smile " listen I have to get back to work so I don't have much time but you seem like a really cool girl and I would love to get to know you better.

HB: " your sweet but I have a boyfriend"

Me:" That's so funny I have a boyfriend too! But I've been really trying to get out of this whole boy thing and start dating woman. I mean you're really not my type anyway but I thought why not give it a shot ".

She laughed but then said she had to go she was busy.

Anything I could have done better? Or better yet what should I say next time I'm in there???

Ok bro, lets break it down

1. You telegraphed a little too much interest by giving her your card
2. Displayed neediness when she returned your card you grab her arm and asked her out
3. Tried to compete with a boyfriend when you haven't even attracted her or demonstrated higher value.
4. Thats three strikes and now in her mind you've become just another hopeful guy that approaches her with the intent of getting into her pants
5. She was being very nice through out the interaction to let you down lightly probably doesn't want an unhappy customer
6. Its ok I've seen worse
7. What you could have done better? Not appear to needy the whole bussiness card thing was a little unnecessary, are you food poisoning defense attorney?
8. Avoid that pizza place for a while as rumors of creepy office guy trying to pick her up might have spread.

Oh my bad, in that case, it might not have been so bad If you didn't ask her out right away like that it would have been fine. I would've teased her a little or made playful small talk and ejected out of there, she would have thought "that was an interesting guy I hope he comes back again sometime" as opposed to "omg, that was awkward now I hope he doesn't come back on my shift." So the next time you come back she'll remember you as that awesome, funny, and charming guy that she might cheat on her boyfriend for.

"nono, I'm not even sure you can be a good friend, you have to be a good friend before we can move on to something else"

Just change the tables.

So next time take that "I have a bf" response as if she was saying: "I like you, but I'm seeing somebody that I might cheat on/leave if you can be a more intriguing, smarter, more challenging and a 'better catch"' See? you are the catch not her, if you think like this, I believe it is easier to answer questions/shit tests like those.

Any respone like 'i have a bf' bullshit is a instant start walking away and say 'i don't ask twice' and if they like you they wont let you go without 'wait.'
