So here's the deal, when im out I like to do a few "practice" approaches to get warmed up and in state before the fun begins. Then i'll have a blast and do x amount of approaches that night, each positve interaction gives me momentum. So after the first few I dont feel any AA, after 5-10 im getting into long conversations and making solid connections, by which time I'll be thinking about the close.
My question is this; after I wake up the next day I feel as though the momentum is gone and I have to start over, am I just gonna have to build up momentum each time im out or shall I look into forms of state control? I want to be able to confidently close a HB without having to "warm up" before.
Does anyone else experience this?

Your AA dissolves after a few warm ups because you hit the indifference threshold, meaning that you stop caring about how other people are judging you. If you let go of your ego and live in the moment, you can basically get the same result. The more in-state you are, the closer you will be to that indifference threshold. You can get in state by your sheer will if you have that much self-control. Fortunately, pickup makes you incredibly good at self-control.

Another thing you can do is do something physical to affect yourself mentally. If you happened to be walking around one night and a car passed you by as someone yelled out "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!" out the window, that may have been me getting in state before a sarge.

Thanks for the insight, you nailed it calling it an indifference threshold. I try and listen to some prodigy before a sarge, which gets me in the same mood as a Spartan battle cry. Perhaps kicking persians down a well could be a new form a AMOG'ing, then again...maybe not.
