No, its about The style they do it in.

if you go out and basically repeat everything the books says in a dull boring fashion or like a parrot then they wont be interested.
Practice Vocal tonality and the delivery of your words. Aim for Slow yet with enough Volume so they are hanging on every word you say

I believe you should study MM and other Books so you get many aspects of PUA.

You should learn About the IoI's so you realize when the girls are giving them. You also need to learn how to Reward her IoI's (Such a positioning).

As for Routines, yes you should take the time to learn them and practice them, you might not always want/need to use them but they are always there incase you need them.

But my advice to you is, Study some routines, practice them and how you deliver them, use them in the field, and take not on which ones work best. The ones that work use, the ones that don't, don't use.
