Just moved to NYC and wanted to get recommendations. Any new yorkers here? First night out i had a layup and I messed it up. Friend and I hit a place with only one group there. First a chick comes over to me and asks me to take a picture of them. Should've negged but didn't. one HB9 in the group and chatted with all the girls for a bit after taking the picture without focusing on the 9. Later they go and sit down and i have a drink with my friend at the bar. 20 min later the 9 comes over to me and starts talking to me. We have some stuff in common (favorite breakfast places) but I don't show enough IOI so she says she has to get back to friends. I f**ked up but water under the bridge i guess. Approach fear has subsided but technique still weak (especially any form of closing). Got friends who are decent at the game but so far nice dice for me. is there a group of PUAs that informally get together here to practice the craft in nyc? not looking for a seminar just hanging out and meeting new friends to improve my game. get decent attention from chicks but at this point don't have the technique to back it up. plus i am not keen on practicing with hb 4-5s in the meantime (nothing more un-motivating than an ugly chick)
