she-say-have-you-read-the-game--vt10845.html
Alot of good counters in this post to how you handle being called out on reading the book.
I have decided to prepare myself for dealing with both the book and the show (VH1 the pickup artist) with a few responses.
For the book id probably go with 3hands response in the link i gave. How i have read it, it was a great STORY, and they should check it out. (i like this because your acting like its no big deal, its just a cool story anyone could like.) Truth is i realize now that The Game really isnt a how too or anything it just wakes AFC's up to the idea that they can control their social destiny's.
As for the show i couldnt find the post with the evidence but its really irrelavant...the show wasnt 100% legit. I plan on just playing that off.
HB: "So you've seen that VH1 show The PUA?" (or any version that puts you on the spot for seeing it)
YOU: "Of course, pretty intresting show but soo not credible. Did you know all the guys on it were actors?
HB: "blah blah...skeptical...blah blah."
YOU: "Really i saw this video on Youtube about the winner and how he had acted in some latin drama/soap's and was in some music videos and stuff before he went on the PUA."
HB:"blah"
YOU: "Yea its actually kind of sad that some people beleive everything they see on TV. Like you could actually teach someone how to pickup women. haha"
And thats about it, you create credible doubt about the validity of the show, neg them for beleiveing what they saw on tv, and even discredit what we know is true.
The idea when handleing either confrintation is to not act like you are hiding something. Sure i read/watched it, but you know what people are putting more weight into the book/show then they deserve. Thats your frame, make it seem like its nothing, brush it off...even discredit them.
Hope this helps.
