well, during the summer i'll be going to america, and i have an irish accent (obviously because im irish), how can i use that to advantage while chatting a girl up? i don't really know why foreign girls find our accent sexy but i don't really need to, because somehow they do!! i'm just a bit afraid that if i try to use the same strategy (jokes, impressions, innuendo) on american girls they might not get it!! like, yes, we're humorous race, but certain things we might find funny americans might find hard to understand, offensive, or they just don't get it! so basically how could i use my irish accent and humour to my advantage? what should i stick to? what things do american girls find funny? most of the time when im in a different country e.g england i just be myself and people just naturally find it funny and girls thrive on it!! so what's good for them is good for me!!:D any tips?

I though Irish accents sound funny? Nvm, I think that was scottish, we have a late night host he's scottish.

Generally, it will be an advantage JUST talking. I don't know about the jokes, though, since I don't know how your humor differs. Generally I would say it's not that different.

yes our accent is quite like scottish but not VERY alike y'know? i suppose but i'd be worried that if i try talking to a girl over their they wouldn't understand me! us irish people tend to talk very fast compared to american or english people and our dialect of english is heavily influenced by the irish language. well suppose i could use a few words of irish to my advantage too!!

It would probley be an advantage.I really would not worry about it to much.I have a strong NewYork accent or so I'm told.Alot of girls thinks It's cool that I have NewYork accent for some reason..
