When a girl you are gaming asks you, "So how many girls have you slept with huh??"

What should I respond with if I'm trying to close or F-close her?

(most times girls say it in a joking tone, such as, "oooo you're so popular, I bet you've been with lots of girls huh? How many have you slept with huh? huh?" etc...

If the number is high, that might make me seem like a manwhore. If it is low, it is just embarrassing. If I lie, I don't know what number to say, or if I should say anything AT ALL...what do you guys think about this one?

laugh it off then continue to have fun, if she pesters you, say stfu bitch and move on to the next in a line of 3 billion.

There are some more experienced guys here, but I would use a joke. Say "tons" or sth like that.
If she insists, than think another one like, "okay, okay, I'm actually a virgin"

I often say that I'm a virgin with a checky little grin on my face and it has always worked.

Then when the girl says no your not, I say 'I am, I'm just looking for the right woman... Guess I'll have to keep looking.'

Well it depends. If she asks it in a joking way, reply in an equally joking manner.

However, I have had this question posed more serious to which I still refuse, but answer it more seriously.

Say this:

"I've had people ask this before, and the people who really care about the answer are the people that really don't want to hear it. If it's much higher than you, then you are going to think that I'm a player and be intimidated because you have had less experience. If it is much lower than you, then you are going to feel like a slut or something to that effect. So on principle, I do not answer that question. It will leave it to your imagination, and in return I will not ask it of you."

This is the best possible answer I've found. It plays on her insecurities and preserves the mystery.

I stopped counting after the first...
but usually I will get her number after that, based on that I will answer usually honestly.

I have only lied once when the girl was a christian, and said she's only slept with one person.
