So I was out at dinner with a large group of people on Saturday waiting to get into Club LAX at The Luxor(basically you get into the club for free if you go to their Bistro).

And it was nearing towards the end of dinner, and this HB7 who was invited there by my friend/wingman's fuck buddy(paige). The HB7 asked me what I do for work. I made some cocky comedy line discussing what I do for work, and I used the line "I am a bic-lighter repairman." The HB7 who was witty, then laughed a bit and said "Does that pay a lot?" And I responded back "It pays phenomenally." So I noticed she was thinking of a funny response, and she did. "I bet you get a lot of blow jobs with job." And the whole table was laughing.

At this point I was not intimidated, I then went inside my head to think of something funny and clever. I asked myself question such as, "What would Patton Oswalt say?"(Patton Oswalt is my favorite stand-up comedian)

...thinking....thinking....thinking....


NOTHING!

At this point I just acted casual like nothing happened and kept talking to the other people at the table to keep the conversation going. Then we eventually got up and went to go inside LAX. Opened up a couple of sets and had good times.

So my fellow PUA's and wanna-be PUA's such as myself. I ask you this; What is something I could respond back to something like "I bet you get a lot of blow jobs with that job."

The only thing I could come up with(later after it happened) was, "why do you need your lighter repaired?"

There are some smart dudes here can you help me out, I think this is a story we can all learn from.

Coulda just said something like "if you only knew"

I dunno i prob wouldn't have even replied and grinned or smiled when she said that and said "so whats your story" and then when that died out I would use the so how do you all know each other.

Whenever you run out of material I have a few safety nets to use like those ones. So whats your story actually would be a good reply to waht she said because its sorta teasing since she did just talk about blowjobs.

hahahaha i know what you mean. ive been in the instance a couple of times, when the girl tries to pull a line on me like that, as she did to you. but sometimes i feel its better to say something that might not be that good of material, compared to nothing at all which leads to an awkward silence, or a strange uncomfortable transition into another topic. usually if i cant get it, i just say something like 'you'd be suprized' or 'you have no idea' just make sure when you say it that its relatively quick, and dont sit there thinking about it and then say that. also throw in the right tone too, then it really doesnt matter, and just play it off and keep gamin her
