can anyone recommend some? i just finished chapter 7 of "body language" by julius fast. though the writing is a bit dated, its eye opening. there is a lot of shit going on with body language; primal shit that i for one am not really aware of on a conscious level, but which really struck accord when i read that book.

for a while now, i have been intrigued by body language that occurs on the train. i guess you could say i'm new to riding the train; my home town doesn't have one to speak of even though its a small end metropolis (too many hills, and rivers). now that i've moved, the train is part of my daily life. i find it really interesting how different people carry themselves while riding the train. i have had staring battles with men (sometimes people stare at me because i'm obviously foreign) and iois from girls (one case involved a girl staring at me and then licking her lips). it commonly talked about on this forum that most of communication is non verbal. however, i find it really difficult to be aware of it in situations that involve conversation because i'm so much more focused on what people are saying (i want to change this and welcome advice on how to do it). the train, however, offers a situation in which most people are not engaged in conversation, so their communication is entirely non verbal and since you are not engaged either, you can study them.

does anyone have any insight about key things to do with body language? this is an area of my game that i really wanna tackle. anyone who's read "the game" know's the power of style's friend "the natural" who's secret seemed to be body language. i'd be especially interested in what those who ride the train do to transmit body language while they are on it (for example taking up space, not crossing arms, etc. i'm interested in where you hold your gaze?)

thanx for the help

Though what you are looking into is right, I think you are aiming too low.

What you need to do is look into Cold Reading.

Just living on the earth long enough to be posting on this forum tells me you are capable of telling positive body language from negative body language.

You really dont need to know that wringing the hands shows worry and anxiety. What are you going to do with that info, react to it?

No you need to build a strong frame and bring everyone into your reality. You need to learn Cold Read routines. If there are none in this forum, pm me, and I will send you some. The forum should have a place for them though.

Why just "know" their body language, when you can learn body language by "influencing" body language, and as an added bonus, you are DHVing.

PM me if you need help, but thats the path I would go down if that is what is interesting you.

happy hunting

thanks for the advice jazzy. i actually don't know anything about cold reading and would be interested in learning. however, understanding other peoples' body language is only part of my goal. i'm interested in being more aware of my own body language in order to be able to demonstrate my intentions to others. i want to learn to communicate my interest, dhv, and intentions to escalate through body language.
