yo. i was wondering if anyone has experimented with varied speech? i don't know the term for it (if there is one) but i've read a couple of different places that speaking more slowly and pausing often is supposed to create allure. can anyone verify or negate this?

also, does anyone have any examples (preferably audio or video) on how this is done. even any descriptions of it in literature would be appreciated.

Well Reveal, you are fortunate enough to be hearing one of the greatest speakers of our generation.

Political Stance Aside (I do not care about the politics), but listen to Barack Obama speak. Look up his 2004 dDemocratic convention speech, or the speech at his Iowa win earlier this year.

Yes he speaks slowly, so you can appreciate every word.

Yes he speaks in short bursts, so he doesn't overload you too much at one time.

Yes, he believes in what he is saying, thats why everyone believes him.

He carries a very strong frame speaking on his owm. But notice when in a debate, he loses confidence and Clinton Alpha's him (lol, but true).

Lok up some Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. speeches.

If you can learn to talk to and inspire a woman like that, you would have to beat the women away (aka Im in love with Obama - Obama Girl)

Just turn on CNN, watch and listen, and I don't mean politics, lol
