yo. i've got two routines that i'd like to get some feedback on. neither is extensively field tested (about 5 times each). so far, they've gotten really good results, but i'd like to do a bit of tweeking (to the routines and otherwise:)

heres the first:

there are two people, "person a" and "person b". person a earns 50,000 dollars a year, and all of their friends earn 25,000 dollars a year. person b earns 100,000 dollars a year, but all of their friends earn 200,000 dollars a year. who would you rather be, person a or person b?

the real question is whether the girl prefers money or status. if they choose status, they will pick person a, if money, person b. take the opportunity to neg them on whichever they choose!

heres the second. this is actually based on a story i recently read in the news:

a guy wants to propose to his girlfriend, and he wants to be original and romantic. so, he buys a 12,000 dollar diamond ring and puts it in a helium balloon. he was thinking he would give the balloon and a pin to his gf and literally "pop" the question. however, some trouble arose when he left the store where he got the helium put in the balloon. a big gust of wind came and ripped the balloon from his hand. he tried to follow it, but there was no way he could chase it down. he told his gf about what happened, and now she is not talking to him.

[this is the part i'd like some advice on. i've thought about a couple places to take it from here]

1. if you were the girl in this story, how would you react if your bf told you he was gonna propose but lost the 12,000 dollar engagement ring?
2. what should the guy do to smooth the situation over.

comments? suggestions?
