I think the reason why 1 on 1 sarging is difficult for most guys is because it's completely out of their comfort zone. I can remember feeling like it was my responsibility to keep the conv going and keep the girl entertained when doing a 1 on 1, but it aint right. Fact is you need to build rapport and hence feel at ease when in these situations, with a bit of practice it will seem natural.
Read "92 communication tricks for success in life/relationships" by Liel Lowndes. Some great stuff in there on conversational skills, comfort building.
