Not really a "sticking point", but any advice would be much appreciated :

Basically, I'm in a situation that I'm not happy with. I gamed this girl at a club a while ago. Basic game stuff, got her number & Facebook etc, and we send regular messages and stuff. We've hung out alone at my place, and with friends, but since she has a relatively new boyfriend and unfortunately seems quite into him, I got LJBF by her pretty much from the start. This sucked (and still does), but after thinking about everything rationally, I decided I DID want to at least be friends with her, so we have continued to hang out etc.

The "problem" is, that last week when we were having a Sushi & movies night at my place, things went really well again! Then the next day on internet messenger, when she talked about attraction etc, I persisted a little and just asked her if she was at ALL attracted to me as anything more than friends, basically to see if things may develop in the future? She replied :

"Well yes, I COULD potentially fall for you. But for the moment I'm happy with my boyfriend!"

(She is French, so I translated what she said, as she wrote me this in her mother tongue....)

We spoke a little bit after that, but for the last 2 days I've decided to TOTALLY freeze her out. I fear that she might just plan on "keeping me as a backup", which is frustrating. But is this freeze out plan of mine a good idea or not? I intend to go for AT LEAST 1 week without even answering her if she texts or messages me, maybe longer if I feel like it....

I feel a bit AFC, because I really like her & want to keep my distance primarily because I already fear the onset of oneitis!! lol. I don't WANT to freeze her out & lose all contact, even if it's only temporary, but I feel like it might be the best (and only)way. (She hasn't contacted me in the 2 days since I decided to stop contacting her). I'm pretty sure she WILL contact me after a while, just not sure when...
