My main sticking point is that if the girls don't contribute to the convo my brain freezes and I don't have anything to say, and it gets awkward and I have to eject.

How to fix this?

Talk about something random, or ask an interview question. But besides that go out and chit chat with random people in public. It will help your conversation skills a lot.

call it out and laugh.. if you cant think of anything just cal it out..

a example

"you know i came here with things to say and suddenly everything just gone out of my head... grrrrrr what have you done to me.. your feminine perfume or whatever your wearing.. they should ban that stuff" id say that and pull her in but the general idea is call it out, let her know the obvious.

Women don't to contribute,just stand around and listen and be in your world... thats where its at! They will when they have things to say.. but depending on the woman, some just dont have anything interesting to say, and they are listening to you and beginning to form a attraction for you!

You may not always be able to - but always be on the look out for clues about what frame of mind they are in and what they might want to talk about.

Also to prepare for if she's just completely bored, you should specifically remember things that you find interesting that you would like to talk about. Some things you saw on the news, something you read interesting recently. Even if you haven't conciously made the effort to remember some interesting things you saw, think back and see if you can remember any.

Failing that, talk about movies, ask what she's seen, what she likes, some of the content of the movie might remind you of something you want to talk about.

But all the while - get her to talk whenever possible Look for opportunities to ask her what her thoughts are on the matter. Women love talking about themselves and their opinions.
