First, before getting into why a wing is so important and how to properly wing I want to discuss the rules of winging.

1: Whoever opens the set owns the set. Unless player #1 decides to let you run game he owns that set. There is a hook point in conversation. If anyone of the players has hooked after enough time has passed than that becomes his target and she is isolated from the group. She is taken by that player. No switching.

2: Never steal a target that player #1 is gaming or already hooked by another wing.

3: Your wing is your best friend, the coolest person ever, and you agree with whatever he says.

4: Your objective is to simply help player #1 isolate. I don't care if the cast of "The Hills" is in front of you in bikini's, you are not there for yourself. If your wing needs help you help him. Once he has iso'd you have fulfilled you duty, unless one of targets friends is heading for them, then you have to go and save them.

Now that we understand the dynamics of proper winging. We can get into why you wing is so important. How many times have you been in the venue and your state is just super low. Even though you are able to go out by yourself before and successfully run game this time you are just dead. Here's were your wing comes in. Superwing to the rescue. You see him run a few sets and get great results. He comes over and hands you a drink. Chats you up a bit, decides to turn over his shoulder and open the two set behind you. He hooks, grabs his target and iso's. And now your left sitting with the friend who is just as hott. All of a sudden your state is 500% higher. You start to hook and all of a sudden your night changes.

Your sitting at home watching TV and not feeling like getting dressed and going out. All of a sudden your wing calls you and tells you that there's a party. Maybe a house party, maybe just a group of guys hitting a bar. But he doesn't say goodbye to you on the phone until he gets you to take a shower and put on a nice shirt. So you get in your car and meet them at the party. Your state is still low, you don't know anyone there and AA is spreading throughout your body. All of a sudden you see 8 guys walking through the front door like rockstars. Just seeing this gets you pumped and even better one of them bought you an XS energy drink and now you feel like James Bond on steriods.

Your in a Mixed 5 set. You have a few people hooked but just cant seem to push foward and isolate your target. You throw up a sign and your wing comes in. All of a sudden the guys are being talked to and leaving you alone. You grab the targets hand and start to pull her toward you as you back away. She follows the girls jump back with the guys and your wing can relax a bit. He doesn't have to work so hard on getting you iso. 5 Min later you get a make out and one of the guys is walking over to start some shit. But its superwing to the rescue. He's like a special ops secret agent sneaky in his ways because no one saw him make his way over to block the cockblock. Even though this guy is looking over your wings shoulder watching you make out with his friend he can't get around this superwing because of his awesomeness. Another 5 min passes by and you pull the girl.

You open a set in tandum but weren't able to get immediate iso. The girls don't like you, not yet. They throw out shit test after shit test calling your wing names and making fun of him. But you don't flinch, you just make it so they look crazy for not liking him. They tell him he's wrong no matter what he says and you see him start to get taken back a little. Buy you are superwing, "What are you talking about, his clothes just came from the latest london fashion show" "who are you, this guy is awesome" "Isn't this place great, everyone here is so nice, aren't you having so much fun with ____, isn't he the best"
After all the shit tests have been passes and your stance was held strong things turn around. Now they love you. Love you so much that every girl in there becomes jealous.

These are not laws they are suggestions and the moral of the story is have proper communication with your wing. Work out the kinks so you understand each other and dont step on each others toes. Have the right intent when you wing.
