On Friday night, I opened up about a five set of girls at a party with a friend. My friend wasn't exactly winging me, but he was just standing there. I opened with, "How comes you guys seem to be having more fun that the rest of the people at the party?" They laughed, warmed up, I got my foot in the set. I got them to take a picture of my friend and I, as well as a picture of me and one of them. Anyway, I thought everything was cool with them, until I tried to isolate. I told my target, "Come with me, I have something cool to show you, but its too loud here." (I was going to use the cube) She had started to walk behind me, but one of her friends grabbed her and stopped her. I realized I was ignoring her by accident.

Now I remember the MM manual talking about befriending all the members of a set before you try to isolate. I accidentally neglected that one, and I think I made it worse by saying, "its okay, I'll bring her back in one piece, I promise."

How do I befriend entire sets easily(suggest some routines or something please). And just in case I'm even in a situation like that again, how can I rescue it so that my target comes with me?

Edit: I didn't put this in field reports because this is probably too bad to be called even a Fuck Up Report...I barely got anywhere with this set, although I consider it a good learning experience.

In terms of befriending the set just run game on them appear interested, this has the added bonus of getting the other girl working for your attention.
