How do YOU OPEN mixed sets?

Today I saw a big group with 2 hot HB 9s and like 5 guys walking with them (Mall)
And a light bulb popped in my head, I realized that since I joined the community, unconsciously I have been levitating towards and opening sets with only girls in it or like a set of 2-3 girls and one guy.

So now I can't think of any way to open a mixed set where are more guys, knowing that I will have to got through the guys before a get to the HB because she is basically surrounded
(I know I saw them in the mall, but this sticking point is for night game)

Many PUGs say that you should open a mixed set with an opinion opener but
I don't want to open mixed sets with a canned opener because:
1. I don't like using them, I'm more of a C&F guy
2. There is a HUGE probability guys in the mix set know about the community, not that they are PUAs, but at least heard about it: "Hey can I get your opinion"

So how DA HELL do I open them? Taking in account everything I said
