I've been told by a lot of girls (even before PUA) that im pretty attractive, but before i discovered pua i had worse "game" than most AFC's at my school and lost any opportunities i ever had with most girls because of it. Even after reading the game and a ton of other PUA stuff, i still havent done much in-field approaches, but my school game definately has improved alot (although its a social setting and most of my impressions on girls were made when i was AFC lol) but anyways, i was recently talking to this HB after a track practice and we were getting our bags out of this one kids car and we were alone and i said something cocky funny like "now i know your about to try and seduce me but dont think your that lucky" or something along those lines(i cant remember exactly). And she said "you know, (another HB), and i were talking about you today, we said your cute but your way to cocky and its a turn off". Now this other HB was a girl i had one-itis for earlier this year and she pretty much turned me down (cuz i was pretty shy and probably seemed like a stalker lol) but now ive grown in confidence and am no longer shy at all, but now all of a sudden girls think i am wayy to cocky. should i lay off of the cocky funny? And i know alot of time girls dont say what they actually want, but if shes giving me an IOI by telling me im cute but also is giving me advise to lay off the cocky, should i actually lay off? Or is she just telling me that im too cocky but actually is attracted to it?

k there's a couple things going on here. First of all, that line about her seducing you was out of place. When I started out with cocky/funny, I made similar mistakes. This "seducing" line might have worked better during night game when she's already given you a couple IOI's. Also, delivery is extremely important. Mostly, you're just going to have to learn what works and what doesn't but you're on the right track. IMO C/F is definitely the way to go when it comes to outer game. Its more fun and gets better results IME.

Also, she gave you a shit test when she said you were cute but shouldn't be cocky. She was wanting to see if you'd instantly conform to her expectations. Normally I would say not to do this but in this case I think she's right. You need to turn down the cocky a bit and work on you're delivery which is key. it should be fun, flirty, and confident.

Anyways good luck finding the right combination with C/F until it clicks.

along the same lines as above, if you are already physically attractive, you might want to be wary of using too much cocky in the cocky funny mix. good looking guys have a stereotype of being cocky already. being charasmatic and the life of the party has many more upsides than being cocky funny, especially once you hit a relationship. i've found that lot of women have self-esteem issues, and too much ball busting and cocky funny can quickly create a self-conscious self-doubting GF once you hit that stage.
