I had an idea whereby we all make posts about how we messed it up with a girl. I can see this being a flop but I think we can all learn from eachothers mistakes if we just post them. Also I think its good to get it out of your system and just move on. Anyways I'll get the ball rolling.

I was gaming this girl I was scoring at the time. However, she's kinda senstive and paranoid about what others think of her. Anyway, I was negging her a bit (not too much!) but she just got way self concious. And it was just pretty standard inoffensive things I was saying. It really increased the time before I could kclose her.

Lesson 1: Never neg, no matter how hot, really sensitive or kinda paranoid girls! I guess its cause they see themselves only as a 5 or 6...

Well i met this HB8 at school i showed confidence and i crossed the street to talk to her as we were walking to school. It took me about 45 seconds to evaporate her bitch shield.
Everything was going well. I overheardher asking her friend whether she should ask me out but her fucked up friend replied with "He is ugly"
I know that i am not ugly and to this day i don't know why her friend said it.

I had say i should have befriended her friend first so she wouldn't have interrrupted.

Guys... you're all going with the standard 'negs are gold' 'neg the hell out of her' routine. I'm not sure whether you're not terribly experienced, or whether you're just not very good looking, but that's not always the way to go.

If the girl already views you as out of her league... whether it be due to your looks, your social proof, or any other reason, then negging her is just going to reinforce that. You can mix it up with compliments, but she's going to be defensive.

This whole 'cocky and funny', 'negging' thing came up as a way of bring girls off their pedestals. A way of leveling the playing field and putting ourselves in control. But if the playing field's already level, and you already have control, and she's already insecure about herself... dudes - it's time for rapport/comfort.

I'm sorry if some of you disagree... but maybe you've never been in the position where you're clearly the better catch, without even opening your mouth.
