I'm relatively new to game and brand new to the site. I've been running into problems with getting girls to show up on dates. Generally, this is how it goes for me:

I hit them with a random opener on a dating site or mention something about their profile. We go back and forth for a few msgs and I have a good rate with getting their number (maybe 80% of the girls who respond to the first message, although half probably don't respond to my first message). I ask them about their schedule and set up a date. I don't usually beat around the bush much and try to avoid talking about topics that will come up on the first date like job, hobbies, interests, etc. I'd say within 4 or 5 texts I ask them out. Then, something happens. Along the way I either get cancelled on when confirming or go on one date and never see them again. I'm not having sex with the girls this is happening with. Usually a make out session after dinner if we go out or they just cancel the day of. Some of these girls I even get in my bed but when things get heated they'll say something like I should go. This has happened 20+ times in the last 6 months that I've been online and I'm getting frustrated. I'm finally starting to let my ego go and realize I might be the problem. I don't think I'm building enough attraction, and perhaps pulling them to my place too soon. I'm sure some on here can relate. Any advice/critique is welcome!

Get her comfortable with you. Make her want to meet you. And you should be talking about topics that will come up on the date. It's texting, find out a bunch of random things about her, tell her some things about you.

It will not go wrong. Think about it. If you find out a bunch of things about her through text, do you think she's going to spend the time to tell you everything about that subject of her life through text? No way. All of those points will come up times ten on the date.
