Location: Montreal | | Having some trouble with this girl from work (I know don't crap where you eat), shes somewhat shy but friendly at the same time, always smiling and touching me, and sometimes she will just hang around waiting for me to say something.
The problem here is she is french, and my french is not very good, I can get by but by no means hold my own in a conversation. Sadly I only know how to say basic sentences in french (the boring stuff).
So im a bit worried that if I try to same something in English she will not get it.
I try to avoid talking about the same stuff all the other guys talk about, but I have nothing I can think of.
Im thinking of saying stuff like "Tell me a story..." something that I can easy enough to say in french or easy enough for her to understand if I say it in english. And she will be doing most of the talking so I can pick up on what I understand and continue with that. I need more topics like this maybe...

Take a genuine interest in teaching her English and have her teach you French.
