I respect the trick of reading the numbers from HBs and i'm alway gauranteed a 70% success rate but this time it was bad. I walked up to this HB8 and said
Banditt: Hey, i had a debate with this friend about ESP and stuff, do you believe in stuff like that.
HB: No way, that is really messed up
Banditt: here lets try something cuz i really wanna noe if it works
HB: ok
Banditt: explains what to do bla bla bla
Banditt: between 1-10 ur thinkin of number 7
HB: Wait don;t tell me you read "the Game" by Niel Strauss
Banditt: no what?? who?
HB: nvm

This blew ma game and i just gave up on her. That was fucked up man but i just shrugged it off like i didn;t know it. But what i'm tryin to say is, with all the publicity PUAs are gettin. There are more chances of being caught at our own game.

Simple solution: Use your own material.

Using material from that book or the show is suicide.

Just don't think too much about it, say you saw a friend do it and it worked and you where amazed and you wanted to test it out. Thats a PERFECTLY reasonable explanation for this routine. It would not work for the more canned material like his opinion openers and what not but for the CUBE and the number game, it should work.

there are many threads on this topic of getting caught, which can go in to more detail, but basically, there are a few conclusions which most people seem to agree with.

- it is probobly not a good idea to just flat out deny it and play dumb. it kils the vibe, and she thinks you're a twat

- you can say "oh, i've heard of that book, it looks good. did you read it? because actually last week on of my girl friends showed this to me, i thought it was awesome"

- you can totally admit to reading it, and ask her if she's read it. if yes, then discuss it because she's obviously interested in the topic if she's read the entire book. if no, then tell her about how it allows men to develop more confidence, social dynamics, etc, which makes them able to go out and take life by the horns...etc...etc...etc....go in to routine

as opposed to saying "i'm holding your hand" confidently and congruently = wow****
