I am turning 31 in a little over a week, and the same thing has been bothering me a little bit. I used to not care at all about age, but hearing girls in their early 20s talk about 30 being too old is irritating. Where it definitely can be a problem is online dating becuase there is no getting around your age, and many girls specify an age range.
When I am out and about: If I lie and say I am younger, ask them to guess or avoid the question & change the subject...than that goes over more smoothly than saying my real age (w/ some of the snobby young girls)
I dodge the question or ask them to guess my age (than say "good guess") if they ask my age. I live in the heart of the Midwest so there are more close-minded people here!! I never thought twice about age w/ women until I hit 30. It really does vary...some girls don't care at all & some have a block in their head about age.
Besides changing the topic, having her guess your age, saying "age is just a number" when you do tell the truth, etc...How else would you guys suggest to handle the situation when you do tell the truth about your age & a younger girl is trying to make an issue of it?
Hey that's my advice ...
