I still don't fully understand how to make the transition from A1 to A2, and exactly what I should be doing in A2. I know I need to be disarming the obstacles, negging the target, and DHV'ing all at the same time, but I don't exactly get how to apply all of this to the situation. After the opener, how would I go about talking about some random experience I've had, or, how exactly would I DHV? Some concrete examples of A1-A2 would be really great.

Ok so you open, right? You maybe got some IOIs from her and then you opened, your just went for it cold and opened up a set. Your opener is good and you're not getting blown off. If you're a natural, something will come to you. If you're not a natural, you need to start your routine. Win the set by opening the obstacles and DHV'ing with them. Acknowledge the target then start to neg, depending on the situation.

Your transition from A1-A2 depends on the set. if you open a 2 set, build rapport with the girl who is not your target, neg the target and get her to clamber in. If you open a set with guys present, win the guys with a great story or a magic trick or some other means to show you're alpha but also excellent. Once you win the guys you win access to their women. A2 is about building value to get the girl to keep sending you IOIs. Once you've hooked some girls, you can move into A3 and show some interest back.
