Alright, so I've been seeing this girl for about 2 months now. During the process she let me know that she had an ex boyfriend who she still spoke with almost everyday and that they broke up because she moved to Arizona from Virgina and that they decided that it would be best to end things and that they would reconnect when she moved back after she was done with college. I was cool with that (he's all the way in VA) and continued to run my game knowing what I was getting into.

Well fast forward to christmas break, she goes out of her way and let's me know that she's gonna be seeing him just so they can figure things out and get some closure on everything. I played it alpha and pretty much told her that she knew how I felt, so all I'm gonna say is have a great time. Now she's back in VA for holiday and I'm in California so I give her her space and do my thing knowing that I am probably going to loose her (I've heard something like that when a girl goes back home for the holidays or whatever that everything resets). I asked her how it was seeing her ex, only after she asked how it was seeing my ex and she reluctantly gave me some story about how much she cared about me and thought she was ready to get more serious but that when she saw her ex, things changed.
I pretty much played it chill (which I'm not sure if this was the right move) and told her that I understood the complications of the situation and that I would give her her space of needed to be... her response was, "let's just be friends... for now."

I really don't know what to do next and I'm worried if I even played it the correct way. Any help or insights would be much appreciated fellas.

The only thing I can suggest is back off and start dating other woman. If you remain stateside with one-itis it will drive you crazy.

1. Give her space.
2. Start dating other woman
3. Move on

If she decides things are not working out between her and her ex she will let you know. But during that time, you might find someone else, maybe with less drama, that you are interested in and then she has lost her chance. This increases your value too. So don't wait on her cause she isn't waiting on you.

Per the friend thing, I would keep a VERY low profile with her. Don't talk/chat/text her so much. You don't want to fall into the 'Friend Zone'. Cause once you are in the the FZ, its VERY difficult to get out.
