Ok so I was dating a girl for about 2 months (1 official as Girlfriend/Boyfriend) anyway, in December we broke up. It was mutual but she broke up with me during the day and I was gonna do it at night.
She said she still wanted to be friends which was cool.
I saw her in January at a house party, I said hi gave her a hug and said how's things and she said "fine" she then ignored me for the rest of the night. Not letting that worry me I went opened up a few sets and got some girls numbers and a few makeouts.
Anyway, So I thought I was over it other than the fact she was brushing me off (no replys to texts, facebook messages etc...) so I decided to stop messaging her.
I saw her at a mutual friends birthday party and same thing happened, one of her friends doesn't like me (won't get into it here) and was bitching me out. Anyway I went over said Hi gave a hug and she did the same thing - ignored me. The only thing this time was it like sucked out all my energy and I wasn't feeling it so I went home as I was DLV ing the shit out of me.

Anway this happened two weeks ago and I can't get her off my mind, I'm not thinking of her sexually (save one dream where she was a FB) and just have her in my mind.
Its pissing me off because I don't want to get back together with her and she has a new boyfriend (I think that's the source of awkwardness)

But there is no rational reason of why I should even be thinking about this girl. I've stopped texting, facebooking etc... I'm civil and never say anything bad about her if asked because I know it would get ugly quick.

How do you think I can get her off my mind? I don't have oneitis, because I want to forget about her but its like she's hijacked my mind!

go out and fuck like 10 chicks! even though you say you dont have feelings for her still its obvious you do, you just have to keep on keepin on, eventually you'll forget all about her. She forgot about you its time to say fuck it and just GO.

Robthouse brings up some good points. Looks like your brain doesn't want to let go. Finding women you like better and time will mend that frustration.

It could be insecurity. But really,,, you sound like a pretty secure guy.

Why don't you have a talk with your brain and say "Brain,,, I'm tired of thinking about this freaking broad. Let's start thinking about more interesting stuff!".

Rumination is when we melt ourselves down with continous looped thoughts that are neither needed or helpful. "turning the chanel" is a good skill to learn for other stuff too. Comes in handy.
