Please find below a number close, completely scripted routine, I have used many times.
I find that when you are first starting out, it really helps to have a script to at least fall back on.
You:
"Hi, excuse me, do you know where "blah"* is?"
**"blah" can be anything...the nearest starbucks, record store, nearest brothel, even just a random word or made up place, it doesnt matter!**
HB: "Yeah its just down this street, turn left etc etc etc. or No I`ve never heard of it..."
You **Interrupt her while she is telling you the location** "Wow, you are really cute!"**Make it seem as if you have just noticed her and realised she is attractive**
HB: "Ha, thankyou"
You: "Nows the part where you tell me how cute I am.."**be deadpan or playful, depending on how she is reacting**
HB: "Ha, ok.."
You: "Yeah....I was actually going to wear that tonight" **Point to her dress (the more feminine the dress the better!)..be deadpan!**I guess you are lucky I didnt, otherwise I would`ve shown you up!"
HB: "Ha, yeah whatever!"
You:: Hi Im Peepshow..**extend hand**
HB: Im "blah" **let her take your hand..also, remember her name!! this is important!!**
You: That`s a strong handshake! Show me your muscles!" **Since you have still got her hand in yours, push her arm up and make her show you her biceps like a bodybuilding pose"
You: "I know who I am going to call next time I get into trouble!" **playfully**
HB: "Haha, yeah sure!"
You: "You know, I`ve only ever known one other "blah" **her name**. I used to hold hands with her in primary school..I called her my girlfriend..The sad thing is though, one day I turned up to school.. and she wasn`t there..her family had apparently moved away..I never saw here again."
HB: "Oh thats sad.." **joking and in mock sympathy**
You: "Infact, I probably shouldn`t even be talking to you right now.." **as if you are still jokingly faithful to this make-believe primary school gf**
HB:"Ha yeah, we better be careful.."
You: "Hey show me your palms.."**as if you are serious about reading her palms**
You:**small talk time..ask her where she is going, what she is doing, whats in the shopping bags, what she is doing today..anything, but make sure you distract from the fact that you still have her hands in yours.."
HB:"Its my dads birthday and I am just buying him a present" **or whatever it is she says**
You: "By the way, I cant really read palms, I just wanted to hold your hands"..**deadpan and matter of fact**
HB: "Giggles awkwardly**
**Do not let go of her hands just yet**
You:"But I can give it a go i guess (the palm reading that is)..Your name is "blah", your dads birthday is "blah" **guessed because she is shopping for her dads birthday present**, you like coffee, **she is drinking coffee** and apparently you will meet a tall dark handsome stranger in the street who will blow you away..!"
HB"Ha.."
You:"How did I do..?"
HB: "Ha, yeah pretty spot on.."
You: "You seem fun..give me your number and we can catch up for a drink sometime.." **suddenly in a slightly more serious mood after joking introduction****I always pull my phone out of my pocket while saying this and have it ready to puch the number in before having finished this line..**
HB: "Ok, sure..its "blah blah blah blah blah" etc etc.
You:"Ok, I`ll text you and we can meet up, have a nice day..**or whatever, some other polite farewell **
And then you go from there!
