After I open a set, I run my usual lines until the girl asks for my name.

I respond with "I'm wasp, nice to meet you."

She will then respond with "I'm ____ nice to meet you too... why is your name wasp?"

I then say "Oh you don't want to know. It's pretty embarassing."

The target then responds with "Come on, tell me I want to know!"

I then say "Ok fine, I'll tell you if you tell me 3 things about your personality first."

After she qualifies to me I then tell her the origin of my nickname, DHVing in the process.

Seems to me that introducing yourself with a nickname is 10x better than just saying your real name because it presents an opportunity for her inquire about you. Let me know what you think.

Agreed, I always introduce myself to people I've never met at parties with my nickname. Their first response is "How the heck did you get that?" I also go as far as to use different nicknames (I have many) with different groups of people. It also helps me keep separated where I've met someone and it prevents one social circle from connecting with the other (I run around with a few).
