I don’t think I’m particularly brilliant at negging so I’m trying to improve my technique. There was a work related social gathering in a bar at the end of the day, and I was talking to this girl who works on a different floor to me. She is a very outgoing a HB8 who thinks a lot of herself. I’ve spoken to her a few times before where we got on fairly well, but not in the last few months as we rarely bump into each other.

For some reason we were talking about birthdays and star signs, and when she mentioned she was a Libra, I made the comment in a jokey voice, “I don’t really get on with Libras”. She then said in a kind of surprised voice “what about me?”

I then replied “well, I don’t really know you well enough to form an opinion, so my opinion of you is neutral” Whilst her reaction wasn’t brilliant and she wasn’t really laughing, she seemed just as friendly to me afterwards as she was before.

Was this a neg on my part or a poor attempt at one? What would you have said in order to make it a more effective neg?

I would of just skipped the second neg and done this

Me:I don't really get on with libra's
Her:what about me ??
Me : Well I don't really know you but I've got an idea lets try somthing
Her:what
Me:Tell me 3 really interesting things about yourself or tell me what really makes you tick or what do you like to do for fun ?? (just pick one of these options)
Her:blah blah blah (she wil be proving herself )

From whatever she mentions you can branch off and start a new conversation .
If she struggles to think of some thing you can then neg her about it . i.e typical libra not good under pressure (cocky funny )

You not need to go mental with the negs but if you don't like something she likes neg her about it . I have always found that girls like guys who stand up to them . GIRLS DONT LIKE YES MEN .....THEY ARE BORING !!!
