Hi everyone, freshly divorced newb here and looking to come out of the gate hot.

First off, Im an american living in south america. Shortly after opening the set, inevitably the question of where I am from will come up. I like to lie to the group and say that I am south african, and then maybe give a quick anecdote about south africa. I think this instantly makes me interesting because there are tons of americans here but 0 south africans.

After I have isolated my target in comfort building I will say something like, "I have to be honest with you, Im actually american. I get tired with the same old boring, where are you from, what are you doing here, blah blah blah thing. So I like to mix it up a little bit and have some fun with it. And you seemed like the typical uninteresting girl I would talk to one time for a few minutes and never see again, but I can see now that you are different."

I feel that this conveys a fun, spontaneous, and adventurous personality, while the same time adding conspiracy between us. And a little neg thrown in there to boot. However, I am not sure if this can be considered trust and comfort building because I am admitting that I lied.

I have used this with some success, but I would like to get some more opinions on particular routine.

And you've never been slapped for that line? Lol I'm kidding, but there's a bit of truth to what I say. Once I was told to go away by my target's friend after negging the target with the typical 'anything going for you other than looks' neg... So I don't know if that's a bit too extreme/threatening.

Really? You think that is too rough, even when followed by instant validation? Like I said, Im new to this, but it seems pretty tame to me.

The 'anything going for you other than looks' line made me laugh. But I would probably only use that in a set with a 9 or 10 who seemed particularly uninterested. At the very least, you should have her full attention after that.

I think that line might be better used in the past tense. As in "I wanted to see if you had anything else going for you other than your looks." But perhaps thats not a neg at all but rather validation. It is however a DHV, implying that you are selective.

Some success is not mostly successful. It isn't comfort building it is deception and as such it puts friction into your approaches. I'd suggest dropping it.

By the way, saying you're in South America doesn't really tell us anything because the areas can be vastly different. At least narrow it down to a country so we have something to work with.
