| Just got out of a LONG relationship with a crazy, co-dependent drug addict psychopath. I have other prospects that are at my fingertips, but this particular one is driving me crazy. Help me, please?
Here's the backstory:
I'm twenty years old, in college. In a certain class, a beautiful girl sits near me. Same old story. She catches my eye, looks at the floor, gets nervous every time I talk to her. She is shy. We communicate non-verbally for three weeks during class, at which point we find out we are in a group together for a presentation (~100 person class). She comes up to me before class, sits down and talks to me about presentation type stuff. After class, even though she has another one, she makes me walk to her car with her. She is on my nuts, and random strangers we pass are even noticing. She claims to be going to her car to get some important papers to give me, but exactly at the moment we arrive she realizes she didn't need to give them to me, and says "well that was at least a nice walk to my car". She gives me my number and tells me to call her the next day to discuss the project.
One week later...
I'm playing it cool, keeping body language and voice tone under control as we talk before class. Afterwards, we do the same walking to her car thing -- I say "You know, we can do this later. You really shouldn't be missing class just for me". She says "You're right, I definitely shouldn't be late twice in a row". I ask her if she's about to go into class, and she tells me she has a few minutes to spare. I ask her a quick question, and leave first.
Later that day, she calls me. I ask her if she's an interesting person, because I tend to meet interesting people with crazy life experiences. She says "I suppose!" -- I tell her we should do coffee, she flips out and says quickly "I have a boyfriend -- so, probably not".
Whatever, she shot me down. Didn't bother me too much, although she is definitely the hottest girl I've seen so far at school. Later that night, I get an email from her where she apologizes for sounding so harsh, and then makes another excuse: "I live 35 minutes away from school, so it would be difficult to work out anyway". I respond well, as if it really was nothing to me.
Two days ago, I got an email from her saying just this:
"Hey, what's your number again? I have a question."
I later on send her my number. We had class together today, said nothing to each other, and she still hasn't called.
Is she starting to play games with me NOW after shooting me down, is she just trying to ask me something related to school?
Why can't she just ask me via email then?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
