There is a really pretty young co-ed that people are always making a big fuss about. To me she is a 7.8, but people act like she's a 10. Anyway, she clearly has an ego.
Her name is Elise. I had a two-sentence conversation with her once at a party. She happened to be at the lake when I was there, so I walked up to her, stuck out my hand, and said, "I'm my_name. You're Elaine, right?" This surprised look flashed like lightning across her face. She was nonplussed and off balance but recovered quickly: "No, I'm Elise." I stacked immediately, giving her no time to compose herself, and got a couple of very mild IOIs. I may have imagined it but I thought I saw a look on her face later like the wrong name was still subtly bugging her. "I'm fussed over because I'm so high-value. Therefore, everyone must know my name. What's going on?"
I wasn't viewing her as a serious target: I just wanted to see if the name neg would throw her off. It worked beautifully!
