SO guys/girls I really need your help. I've found one of my major sticking points is my seriousness. I'm always serious and when apparently my sense of humor is kind of strange because when make jokes they are only funny to maybe 1% of the population(no, not inappropiate or rude jokes). What I ask of you is how do you guys seemingly move from the opening, hi, petty talk to some funny subjects to make the time spent with someone more interesting? Thanks in advance.

As David Deangelo would say, find some good joke books and learn them. Or find some good jokes online and learn them. Mystery would say to use short stories to show DHV. Both are great methods.

Well first of all stop the serious, logical conversations. Women detest logic when trying to have a fun conversation. If logic and reason = sex, then every single scientist out there would be bringing graphs and pie charts to the club telling women why its a good thing to sleep with them.

As for the 1% success rate with jokes, take my advice. The Kevin Smith type comedy of obscure references that you and your obteuse/psuedo-intellectual friends only get may give you an ego boost about being witty and well read....but it won't get you laid. i.e. "OMG! After-party at Spago's! Really, it's sooooo Kafka-esk!"

To be funny with girls you have to tell jokes that everyone can understand. What I did to develop my humour was a couple things. A) Hang around people who are funnier than you. For me I have uncles with incredible wit, and we always "battle" when we meet.....someday I'll win. B) Listen to Comedy CDs from Standups. I swear everyday I listen to a LEAST one full comedy set (Granted I'm hardcore C&F). But I've gotten so many one liners canned I'm hilarious to anyone.

You've also got to reframe your perspective. Don't take life seriously, but take yourself seriously.
