| I'm on a dating site and I get an interest from a girl. In the past when this has happened it dies pretty quickly and I don't ever end up meeting the girl. Which can suck balls.
So since I've been on here, it's really got me thinking about how to appear interesting and different when replying to interest. So I sat there writing out a reply, realising it was still AFC and then tried to rewrite it.
Then it occurred to me. Earlier in the year I had this awesome night in a club with my mates and I pretended that I was psychologist, it actually worked pretty well, but you have to be very very clued up on the logic behind peoples actions. Which I'm not, but its fun trying.
Anyway, I figured a good way to DHV this girl was putting down a few notes on what I thought her personality was like. Girls love hearing about themselves, so if I could get this right, then this would be good kudos points especially as I'm doing it without actually having met her.
So here lies the problem. How do you tell somebody something about themselves when all you have to go on is a few lines on their profile? Then it struck me. Astrology. I know this sounds totally gay, but astrology has been around for 1000's of years and irrespective of how you feel about it, they have got the art of telling people truths about themselves spot on. Try it now, type in your star sign and read a few sites which describe your personality based on your star sign. You'll be amazed at how much *seems* to fit. Look at the language they use and you'll realise that when you read it, although it sounds like you, it could actually apply to anyone.
So I took a few sentences from a few sites which matched her star sign and also what nuggets I could get from her profile and wrote down what I thought she was like. It completely and utterly worked! She even told me I should give up my day job.
What i'm going to try next to learn all 12 star signs and learns 3 sentences (good side and dark side - don't use bad) for each. I'll try them out next time I'm out and let you all know how it goes.
Obviously, this won't work 100% of the time, if she says i'm not right or something, no worries, I'll just move on and say her parents obviously lied about when she born...wonder what else they lied about....
