So we were with a 4 set and my wingman was talking to 2 of them while i was talking to the other two when i overheard this. He was doing great at ignoring the target and showing her friend (and her) a trick routine. After he was done the targets friend was amazed. But the target shouted everyone knows that trick.
My friend looked at her and shrugged it off saying, "I like it, and your friend liked it, can you do any?"
Talk about knocking her value down to complete zero. Now she felt she had to work to even talk to him again.

Good move or bad move?

That sounds pretty much a good way to say it except I would never throw that neg out on someone who was below a 7.5HB because that might make her feel actually bad, and not the way you want her to feel. But if she feels that she needs to impress you that means you have established alpha and most likely are confident etc
