I was out with a couple friends in the Metro Vancouver area. They have learned this amazing trick and I have no idea how they do it. They start it off when we get our bills from the waitress. One of them says that he can guess my bill amount. So, the wing of the guesser asks to see it, he does. Then, he asks the guesser to guess the amount correctly. He talks very slow in a monotone voice, not noticeable to our new HB's, but noticeable to me for I have known him for nineteen years of my life. Instantly the guesser guesses my number spot on. The HB's are very impressed. He then says that he can guess any number that she thinks of. To make sure she doesn't switch the number, he tells her to tell two people at the table, with the wing being right beside her, he leans in, and gets the number. Again, with an odd number in the six hundreds, he guesses it spot on.

I have no idea what technique they are using. I am very curious as to how they do the trick because it basically put me to shame with the few tricks I did that night.

If anyone knows what or how they did this just post, I know they are somehow conveying the message to one another, but they do a damn good job of keeping it discreet.
