| Yes, drinking games are fun. And I agree that it is a major DHV spike. Especially if you're the most creative with rules. Also a great way to DHV spike is to work on tonality, pausing, and general elequance during the explanation of the game. Treat it like a story.
A game I love to play with my friends is a game called: King's Kup.
You take a deck of cards and fan them out around an empty pint glass in the middle. While you're setting this up, make sure everyone is holding a beer, or two.
Now, each card represents a different activity.
Ace: "Truth or Dare" from whoever picked it, to whomever they choose.
2: "For you", Choose someone to take two drinks, or two people to take one drink each.
3: "For Me", Drink three drinks
4: "For Whores" Girls only drink.
5: "Never have I ever" This is the game where you hold up five fingers and go around the circle saying "Never have I ever...[incident]." You want to say an incident that you have never done. If you have done the incident someone else said, you put a finger down. First person to put all five fingers down loses and has to drink. (Note: one finger per incident, do not put multiple fingers down if you do the said incident a lot. Only one.)
6: "For Dicks" Men only drink.
7: "Point to heaven" Last person to point upwards has to drink.
8: "Pick a mate" This is where the person who drew the card picks someone in the group as their "mate". Whenever the first person drinks, the second person MUST drink with them, for both in-between game drinks, and activity (forced) drinks.
9: "Rhyme time". There are two ways to play this game,
- The person who drew the card picks a word and the people following him/her, have to rhyme with it. The word/rhyme game goes around the circle until someone can't think of one quick enough and has to drink.
- The person who drew the card comes up with a short, rap-like stanza (i.e. "Took a hundred dollars and went to the store.") Then the person after them has to rap/sing the second stanza, (i.e. Blew that hundred dollars on an 3 dollar whore.")
10: "Categories". Person picks a category and you go around the room until the category is exhausted, or someone can't think of any more, then the last person has to drink. Categories include: candy bars, clothing labels, brands of beer, european countries, people I've had sex with (this one is funny to do).
Jack: "Thumb master" This person can put their thumb on the table at any point (until the next jack is pulled), and the last person to put their thumb up has to drink.
Queen: "Question Master". This person can ask anybody a question at anytime (until the next queen is pulled). If anybody answers the question master, they have to drink. They can avoid drinking by ignoring the question, or asking somebody else a different/unrelated question. If the following person answers that person's question they have to drink.
King: "KIIIIIIING" The game does not stop until the fourth king is drawn, by the way. Until then, each king means the person who drew the card must fill the empty cup in the center a quarter of the way up. After that, they can make a rule. For example "Every time a girl is about to drink, she must say 'Please Master may I', then afterwards she says 'Thank you Master, may I have another." The rules can be fun and any sexy, or they can be arbitrary to get people drunk.
The fourth King must drink the filled cup in the middle, warm and all.
Cheers
